The diverse habitats of Namdapha support diverse species
of animals. It is the only National Park in the world in
which four big cats - tiger, leopard, snow leopard and clouded
leopard are found. It is also perhaps the last home
of the hoolock gibbon, Indias only ape. Other important
faunal species of the park are elephant, gaur, sambar, Malayan
sambar, hog deer, barking deer, wild boar, goral, Himalayan
black bear, lesser panda, slow loris and many more.
